Dear [member_name_first],
Here We Go Again!
For educators, August and September are months when we greet new students and welcome back those who are returning. The new school year always holds great promise, but to achieve our academic goals it’s sure nice to know that help is only a click or two away. Of course Virtual Education Software is here to serve you with the tools necessary for your own continuing education, but that’s only the beginning of the many services to be found on the web. For example, many excellent classroom management tips can be found there as well. Perhaps you have a student in need of de-escalating angry feelings. Did you know that if a student draws a picture that expresses his/her angry feelings, followed by a happy picture, it can often reduce the angry feelings? This and many other classroom management tips have been compiled by Kendell Luthy, Elementary Counselor, Cape Horn Learning Center, Lincoln IU and can be found here. VESi also offers a course called "Advanced Classroom Management."
September's Bizarre Holidays May Offer
Great Classroom Activity Ideas
We all know that in September Labor Day is probably the best known holiday, but did you know that September also includes many lesser-known bizarre and unique holidays? Perhaps one or more of your classes could benefit from National Play Doh Day, which happens to fall on September 16th. Discover more of these unique "holidays" at Holiday Insights and The Teachers Corner.
