A Teacher’s Approach To Anger
One of the most difficult emotions to deal with coming from students is anger. Intense anger can make us (teachers) nervous, uncomfortable or even angry in return. Most times it is best to isolate an angry student and give them a chance to regain emotional control before trying to deal with any behavioral issue. There are many calming activities that a student can engage in to calm themselves thereby making it easier to understand and deal with whatever issue caused the anger. It is highly recommended that we as teachers have a full set of calming activities readily available for use when dealing with angry students.
