The below courses have been Pre-Approved for LAUSD Salary Points. To register, please call VESi at 1-800-313-6744 between 8:00AM-5:00PM PST, Monday through Friday.
These courses are offered in two sessions each term. We are currently enrolling for the first summer 2025 session which begins May 12th, 2025. To be in this session you must register no later than 3:00pm PST, May 12th, 2025.
Course Requirements
Course Component: You will be required to read through the chapters, take the examinations and complete four critical thinking questions and three journal article summations. Be sure to refer to the course syllabus and addendum which will come with your materials as these documents contain important course information.
Forum Component: The required forum component will begin the second Monday of the session and thereafter will require weekly participant responses to the discussion topics for the next three weeks. Be certain to refer to the forum guidelines which will be emailed with your course materials for additional information and details.
You must obtain an overall score of 70% or higher, with no individual exam score below 50%, and successfully complete ALL writing assignments and forum component to pass this course and receive your Salary Points.
VESi recommends that you check with your school district and/or state licensing agency to verify these course offerings will meet your district and/or state requirements for salary advancement and/or state certificate re-licensure.

Once your course materials are received, you are required to read the Course Syllabus, Course Syllabus Addendum, Essay Grading Guidelines and Forum Guidelines to be certain that you understand all of the course requirements and expectations.
Course Maximum
There is a 3 course maximum for each session.
Course Deadline
You are required to have your course completed within the session enrolled. For the session beginning May 12th, 2025, you will be required to have your course(s) completed and submitted no later than June 20th, 2025.
Completion documentation is sent to LAUSD and the student approximately three weeks after the conclusion of the session.
